Rice University Centennial Celebration Event Video Projection Mapping

Celebrating the 100th year anniversary of Rice University, LD Systems production services designed and fabricated a custom 270 degree projection field truss tower that blended video across the combined surfaces of three historic buildings on the Rice University Academic Quadrangle. This projection platform utilized high resolution animation and imagery to display stunning custom video content visualizing the history and significant moments throughout the event. The centennial event also required accompanying audio requiring multiple audio array positions for immersive surround sound playback.  Specialty focused synchronized lighting design also covered the seventy thousand square foot area.

The Rice University Centennial Celebration was among the most vibrant events ever held at Rice University, as thousands of Rice alumni, friends and supporters from Houston and across the globe gathered to celebrate and applaud University achievements.
