The Distinguished Alumni Gala at Texas A&M University is a prestigious formal celebration honoring Texas A&M Distinguished Alumni.  This gala event is aimed at bringing together The Association of Former Students, current students, friends and colleagues and requires full-scale event production support.

Converting A Sports Arena Into A Gala Event with Sophisticated Truss Rigging

Alumni event coordinators requested complete audio, video, arena lighting and logistics support from equipment load in to load out.  LD Systems deployed a custom designed live sound system and arena lighting trusses to provide coverage for the entire Reed Arena floor.  Multiple large format LED video screens were deployed around the arena and the event space was enclosed by extending a perimeter black out drape around the room.  This production design was achieved using a client approved production site plan and three dimensional rendered drawings to detail the multitude of expectations for such a prestigious event.

LD Systems pre-production staff and event crews coordinated support for all aspects of event production including planning load-in, qualifing production equipment rigging, directing dress rehearsals and detailed a special load out schedule accommodating the university arena’s busy calendar of events.  This noteworthy event is best complimented by the LD Systems professionally detailed production process.
