LD Systems Designs A Unique Audio System For The NFL Draft
The 84th annual NFL Draft meeting of the National Football League (NFL) franchise teams occurred in Nashville, Tennessee breaking attendance records with more than 600,000 people attending in Nashville along with 47.5 million viewers from around the globe watching the televised broadcast.
LD Systems was tasked to design and deliver a unique live audio solution that resulted in a sophisticated main stage “Inner Circle” sound system as well as multiple delay locations along lower Broadway Street. The system had to be tailored for several different applications including live sound for the televised portion of the event and concert level capabilities for the entertainment portion afterwards. There were also requirements to provide audio of onstage activity to the player’s green room waiting area and other back stage areas. The main stage “Inner Circle” area required precision coverage around the broadcast areas to avoid sound pollution during the televised portion of the show.
The sound system deployment consisted of the following:
40 – LAcoustics K2
12 – LAcoustics K1
16 – LAcoustics KS28
6 – LAcoustics SB28
27 – LAcoustics KARA
8 – LAcoustics KIVAII
4 – LAcoustics ARCSII
16 – LAcoustics 108p
4 – LAcoustics 115XT HiQ
2 – LAcoustics LA-RAKII
15 – LAcoustics LA-RAK
This year’s NFL Draft was a huge success for the league and sports fans across the world. In addition to supporting the NFL Draft, LD Systems also supported audio, lighting and HD video at the outdoor Superbowl LIVE NFL Experience in Houston.
