New Church Sanctuary Audio Video and Lighting System

LD Systems House of Worship AV integrators have an extensive amount of experience working in houses of worship and uniquely understand the technical demands of worship places today.  The Lakeway Church is a Christ-centered community in the heart of Lakeway, twenty miles northwest of Austin, Texas. Through their “Deeper & Wider Campaign”, The Lakeway Church answered the calling to create a larger 800 seat worship space, a community gathering area with a coffee bar, and a nursery space to accommodate church growth.

The new sanctuary audio visual system at Lakeway Church is ready for worship.

Working with Jackson Galloway FGM Architects, general contractor American Constructors and Lakeway Church staff, LD Systems designed and integrated a new AV system to support the audio, visual, and lighting requirements of the new facility’s weekday events and weekend services.  A major goal of this project was to make sure each technical element complimented the architecture of the space.

For clarity and reproduction of full range audio, LD Systems chose L-Acoustics audio products for their phenomenal sound reproduction, affordability, and support. The A15 constant curvature speaker enclosures paired well with large sanctuary ceiling beams while KS21 subwoofers hang directly behind the A15s to support low frequencies. L-Acoustics A10 speakers support choir fold-backs and X4i speakers are strategically located in between stair steps for front fill. The Allen & Heath Avantis audio console provides an intuitive mix experience with the GX4816 i/o box and ME-1 personal mixers. Shure is used almost exclusively for instruments, wireless vocals and wireless in-ears and Earthworks Flexwands capture the choir’s natural vocals discretely.

Ross Video’s Carbonite Switcher is used for video distribution and video switching. Three Sony 4K PTZ cameras are distributed throughout the sanctuary to record, broadcast and livestream every moment. Panasonic 13K laser projectors illuminate two sixteen foot by nine foot tall Da-Lite Electrol screens. Panasonic LED video displays adorn the campus for visual announcements and live video. A sixty five inch interactive touch screen display shows sermons and pastoral instructions.

LD Systems chose the High End Systems Hog 4 platform to control twenty two Chauvet Rogue series LED moving head wash lights illuminating the altar and an Interactive Technologies CueServer 2 controls the architectural lighting. ETC supports the power relays for the entire audio video and lighting system while Crestron provides system control.
