LD Systems Completes a Customized House of Worship Design-Build AV Integration Project

First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood was established to nurture personal relationships, provide dynamic worship and offer great programs that meet the needs of all life stages.  LD Systems aims to partner with houses of worship to enhance the worship experience and expand their reach into the community.  Our AV systems integration team was a great fit for this design-build project due to our extensive worship lighting, audio and video systems experience.  The goal of the systems integration project was to support an overall renovation of the main sanctuary and to propose AV system upgrades that would be key components for worship services and occasional special events.  LD Systems was tasked with designing the sanctuary audio system, full room lighting, a sermon video system and a simplified AV control system.

New Renovations At First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood

The new sanctuary audio integration consisted of LAcoustics A15 speakers and SB15 subwoofers for low end range.  An Allen & Heath DLive was installed with Shure QLXD wireless integrated into a Dante network to future proof the audio system and support scalability.  LD Systems lighting designers integrated Chauvet LED moving lights and conventional lighting fixtures to the celling throughout the sanctuary supporting altar lighting and adding the ability to create illuminating worship environments. Four large NEC LED displays face the congregation with a single large 98” confidence monitor display facing the pulpit. Three high definition Panasonic PTZ cameras were installed throughout the sanctuary supporting sermon video streaming.  A new video control room was created, complete with a custom Forecast console to manage the video switching and routing equipment.  All components of the new AV system are integrated into a Crestron Control system to simplify AV control for staff and volunteers.

LD Systems completed the system installation working directly with AV staff throughout project’s completion ensuring no detail was left uncovered.  Our Integration Team excelled at every aspect of this integration project incorporating many audio visual disciplines into one job.  This broad skillset is a unique feature that LD Systems brings to every audio, video and lighting house of worship project.
