A New First Methodist House of Worship AV System in Conroe Supports Enhanced Worship Services

The First Methodist House of Worhsip AV system enlarges the possibilities available for enhanced worship services into the future. LD Systems was hired to blend a new church AV system into the main sanctuary and relocate the existing church AV equipment to the chapel that will serve worship services for years to come.

Church Sanctuary AV Integration

The Main sanctuary project began with installing a 100°pattern L-Acoustics sound system including white color finished speakers to match the sanctuary color scheme blending in to the room.  The main sanctuary sound system control includes an Allen and Heath GLD 80 series mixing console and Allen and Heath personal monitor mixing systems for contemporary live music services.  LD Systems also installed a church video streaming system consisting of Panasonic PTZ cameras, a Black Magic Design HD video switcher and a Teredaek Cube 600 series streaming interface.  Epson 12K Lumen laser video projectors were included as well as large projection screens. Lastly, Chauvet Rouge R1 Spot and Chauvet Rouge R1 Wash lighting fixtures controlled by a GrandMA lighting controller were installed to provide contemporary lighting and light patterns for enhancing live performance worship events.

Church Chapel AV Integration

The Chapel received a complimentary church AV improvement starting with relocating the original main sanctuary Meyer UP-4XP  speakers and subwoofers to the Chapel controlled by a new Allen and Heath Qu-24 digital mixing console.  Extron video distribution was installed in conjunction with relocating the main sanctuary video projectors to the Chapel.  LED par lights were installed for a modest color wash in the front of the chapel.  Lastly, a new audio system was installed into the church café area including JBL speakers and a Crown CDI series amplifier that will be used for immediate playback control form a variety of church member playback devices.
