LD Systems Provides Broadcast Live TV Concert Event Production Support for Houston’s Shell Freedom Over Texas

Audio, lighting, video and TV broadcast production support from The Hobby Center

Houston’s Shell Freedom Over Texas Independence Day event at The Hobby Center produced by the Houston Mayor’s Office of Special Events showcased live concert performances broadcast on television for Houstonians.  Usually an outdoor music festival sized city-wide event, Freedom Over Texas was held indoors due to possible poor weather conditions.  LD Systems’ live TV event production support included designing a theater audio system, video content programming, video projection, stage scenic design, and a full stage lighting package.  Theater lobby lighting and outdoor architectural lighting was used to illuminate the building with a patriotic theme. Houston’s local TV station ABC13 managed broadcast services and live streaming.

Pre-production included a unique approach creating two production plans for outdoors and indoor scenarios.  Detailed lighting design was used for a dynamic look that would dazzle TV viewers.   Audio and video content were processed and delivered to the broadcasting team for live television distribution.  The holiday celebration culminated with a Texas sized downtown fireworks extravaganza set to a patriotic and modern musical selections. LD Systems has been an industry leader in providing quick solutions for live events where safety and expert production logistics are required.
