AV System Upgrade for The Mayor’s Office of Special Events Designed by LD Systems

Houston’s historic City Hall often hosts the Mayor’s Office of Special Events announcements, press conferences and activities that are a major focal point for the entire City of Houston.   The Legacy Room originally built in the 1930s serves as legacy gathering space and modern backdrop for important city public events.  LD Systems audio visual engineers completed the City Hall Legacy Room audio visual upgrade and AV system design installed by our AV systems integration team.

The City Hall Legacy Room audio visual upgrade includes a wireless audio and video management system

The audio system includes all new wireless audio networking, Shure wireless microphones, audio recording and audio playback features using a Denon Professional media player.  A new Yamaha QL1 custom designed front of house control desk, audio rack and custom fabricated portable equipment cases were designed for audio equipment deployment, audio engineer asset management and audio equipment storage.  The video upgrade was designed to seamlessly integrate into the city’s Houston Television studio with new Cisco networking, Ross Touchdrive video switcher, Ross video router and a Telestream Wirecast Gear video live streaming production system.  New Apple computers manage presentation and video conferencing needs.  The entire system is powered using UPS battery backup for mission critical operational reliability with AV signal redundancy designed throughout the system.
