AT&T Center Sound System Integration in San Antonio

The LD Systems integration division completed a bid-spec arena sound system installation in San Antonio at the AT&T Center as part of a $200 million sports facility renovation. The AT&T center is home of the NBA San Antonio Spurs and hosts a multitude of entertainment events, concerts and touring performances that greatly benefit from the improved audio experience.

Arena Sound System Design

LD Systems provided audio equipment and systems integration personnel to install a L-Acoustics KUDO line source sound system in the arena. The main arena sound system was designed in SOUNDVISION by project consultant Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon & Williams and LD Systems with support from the L-Acoustics USA applications team. The sound system is primarily comprised of seventy two KUDO and twenty four SB28 enclosures flown in six speaker arrays driven by LA8 and LA4 amplified controllers. Also included are L-Acoustics ARCS WIFO speaker arrays hung around the upper perimeter of the arena. L-Acoustics 12XTi speakers are mounted to the bottom of the scoreboard to cover the floor areas. A special rigging design was integrated to retract all speaker arrays into the roof structure to accommodate any sized touring event. The AT&T Center renovation was also complemented with new audio equipment, speakers and AMX touch control system integration for the back of house VIP clubs, concourse areas, and food courts.
