Houston Police Department Hostage Vehicle
In a very unique situation, LD Systems worked closely with Advanced Containment, Inc. of Houston, TX to provide a state-of-the-art Hostage Negotiation Vehicle for the Houston Police Department. LD Systems devised deployable "pods" containing both high-SPL loudspeakers and listening microphones to allow the police to negotiate with suspects at a comfortable distance. Various audio sources, processing and recording possibilities give the Hostage Negotiation Team unique tools to work towards peaceful resolutions of dangerous conflicts.
