Rodeo Uncorked 2007 This event opening video montage was very unique in that the projected images (shown in the video linked below) surrounded the audience on three sides. Five High End Systems™ DL.2 Digital Light™ instruments were used along with HES X-Spot moving yolk lights. The image area was around 600' wide (measured along the perimeter)and 200' high. The video footage was supplied by the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo's™ video department in HD format, edited for formatting to the DL.2's and transferred to the onboard media servers. All effects were triggered via timecode from the music track. Although they appear to be gobos, the "flying cowboys" at the end of the video are JPEG's on the DL.2's. The spinning HLSR logo and flying guitar were created in AutoDesk 3D Studiomax™. View the streaming video of the event from the audience perspective. Lighting Designer: AJ Freysteinson
