State-of-the-Art Sound System Installation for the University of North Texas

LD Systems contracted with the University of North Texas in Denton near Dallas Forth Worth to perform a state-of-the-art sound system installation in the Margot and Bill Winspear Performance Concert Hall in the Music and Fine Arts Education Center. The University of North Texas can has made excellent achievements with premiere nationally recognized Colleges of Arts, Music, and Theater. UNT has a very high standard and expects their campus facilities to operate to performance standards and support their talented 36,000 strong student body.

The UNT Performance Hall features a proscenium stage with reserved continental seating for over 1000 people. Jaffe Holden Scarbrough Acoustics, Inc oversaw the sound system installation and served as the audio system designers. Acoustics are varied with ten acoustical curtains and three vertically adjustable clouds. The LD Systems installed sound reinforcement system includes a permanent house system, a constant voltage distributed system (lobby), an effects monitor system with eight monitor outputs, assisted listening system, and a four channel technical intercom system.
