LD Systems provided sound, lights, and video for the 2009 Houston Social Book Gala as a key sponsor. The event, held at the Omni Woodway Houston, was the kick-off event of 2009. Debbie Elias of Elias Events was the event producer and director.

LD Systems Lighting Designer AJ Freysteinson utilized five High End Systems Digital Lights to create projection over a 90' wide set that allowed for media and graphics playback in 3D with live camera video.

Media content included high resolution JPEG's, DirectX 3D objects, and MPEG-2 files.

Page Parkes models wore apparel from stores such as Tootsies and Neiman Marcus. The models, music, and stage direction were courtesy of Bambi Lynn, Fashion Events Producer for Page Parkes.

The lighting design also included a stage wash in color-correcting gels for video reproduction.

New for this event were new EV-XLE very compact line array audio speakers. Barely visible to the extreme left and right of the cycs above, the audio speakers were crystal clear with powerful low-end for the intense audio track. The furniture and plexi-platforms were provided by Prop Rock Event Furniture Rental.

The DL.2 lighting instruments allowed for images to be displayed in sections or as one complete 90' wide blended image.
