The first Discovery Green Gala featuring Houston Mayor Bill and Andrea White was a great success raising money for Discovery Green - Houston's new downtown park.

Main tent during installation. Gazebo and decor by The Events Company. Tent and flooring by Aztec.

Main tent audio rigging provided excellent coverage with a fast install and strike time. The LDS audio engineer was Kelly Jones. Mark Thompson was the monitor mix engineer for the entertainment.

Guests entered the event via the prominade. LDS lit the tree canopies while The Events Company provided chandeliers. LDS lighting engineers were Lance Williamson and Brent Sanders.

One unique feature of the event was the use of video projection as a means of illuminating the ceiling with animated floral. LDS created a custom video loop paying tribute to the works of Monet. Video engineer was Markus Taylor with Ramone Pineda assiting.

The ceiling projected floral scenes blended with the hanging baskets and "green' theme of the evening. Video footage for the projection was created by Scott Justis.
